Development Report

We are experiencing push back from existing clients around the Development section of the current Candidate Report. Specifically, the feedback is around the robustness of the Development section in comparison to legacy Assess and Select development reports.

    Panera Bread Feedback:

     

    I am happy to provide feedback on the old platform development sheets:

    • I really liked that each section was broken down with the personality detail and competencies that it impacted. Each page had the categories on it with the shaded areas and explained Potential Strengths and Potential Concerns
    • I also appreciated the development suggestions. Some of them were almost too much info in relation to books and multimedia etc.- I would almost prefer that area with fewer and more recent publications
    • The action planning stage at the end is something that I go through with them- not necessarily using the information provided. To make it relevant to our processes- I skip most of this part and tell them they are welcome to read through it later- but I utilize our systems (i.e. IDP).
    • I love the graphic profile at the end and I utilize the Scale Interactions and details with this part.

    The new platform is visually more appealing thus far- but I think the development piece needs to be more robust (as the other one was) because I think this is a piece we will actively and regularly use. Let me know if you need additional information.

    Hooters Feedback:

     

    • The Development isn’t robust enough *This was the main reason to stop*
      • They just launched (literally 2 weeks ago) a full nationwide campaign to focus on development and they are using our current assess development report for that. They like that currently they have the suggested readings as well as the action planning portion and feel like the new one is lacking
    • Finally, although this was small and could be a compromise, they didn’t like the fact that the current development report on the new platform says “Onboarding & Development”. They don’t use it for on-boarding and got hung up on that fact in fear that it would cause confusion.
